Hello, All!
As you know, over the last several years FEMA has been reviewing flood maps and restudying the Texas coastal counties' current flood hazard areas.  Since many of my clients have weekend properties in these areas, I thought I would pass along the FEMA Open House dates.  These meetings will allow residents and business owners to view the new preliminary flood maps and determine if and how their flood risk has changed.  In addition, you will also be able to learn what options you have to reduce your flood risk.

Open House Meetings are as follows:

  • Galveston County (Island), February 19, 2013, from 2–8 p.m. at Moody United Methodist Church, 2803 53rd St, Galveston, TX 77551
  • Galveston County (Mainland), February 20, 2013, from 2–8 p.m. at League City Civic Center, 400 West Walker St, League City, TX 77573
  • Matagorda County, February 21, 2013, from 2–8 p.m. at Bay City Civic Center, 201 7th St, Bay City, TX 77414

If you have questions, please call the agency office.  We are here to help!
